WHEREAS the health care bill that was
passed by the United States Congress
and signed into law by President Obama
ignores the will of the majority of Granite Staters
who oppose the government control
of health care, and |

WHEREAS this law includes an unparalleled overreach
of the federal government into the lives
of individuals and ignores the Constitution, and |
||
|
WHEREAS this law mandates
that citizens either purchase health insurance
or pay a fine to the federal government for not doing so, and |
||
|
WHEREAS this law jeopardizes jobs, our economy, adds
to the national deficit, does not lower premiums and substantially
increases taxes on families and small businesses, and |
||
|
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED I, the undersigned citizen of the United States, petition Congresswoman
Carol Shea-Porter of the 1st Congressional District of New Hampshire to: support the repeal and replacement
of this law with responsible market driven reforms to our nation's health care system. |
